Where Does This Model Fit in the Lineup?

At our Grand Prairie area dealership, we're fortunate to carry many types of Kias. The Soul, Seltos, Sportage, and Niro are the more compact SUVs, while the Sorento is a mid-size option. The Telluride is by far the largest SUV in the Kia lineup. It's slightly smaller than the Kia Sedona minivan. Because of its size, many people have been turning their attention to the Telluride.

The Kia Telluride looks bold and rugged with a tall, athletic frame. Simultaneously, it has clean lines and a refined look, and its elegant front grille and narrow exterior lights help it stand out in a crowded market. Your new Kia Telluride could come with LED fog lights, a gray grille, and satin chrome finish roof rails.

Inside, the center console is slightly angled towards the driver to give the cabin a more cockpit-like feel. Everything has been thoughtfully laid out, and it'll seem like you're in a luxury vehicle when you're behind the wheel of a Telluride. In terms of seating, this Kia SUV can either have room for seven or eight total people. If you get the eight-passenger seating configuration, you'll have a bench in the middle row. Opting for seven-passenger seating means that Arlington, TX drivers have captain's chairs in the second row, which creates a more open feeling.

We know that one thing that really matters to our customers is technology. Every one of our Kia Tellurides has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and an eight-inch touchscreen. The higher trims have 10.25-inch touchscreens, along with wireless charging and integrated navigation. The total number of USB ports in your Telluride would either be five or six, depending on the trim that you're driving.

Comfort and sophistication are also important factors when you're shopping for a new vehicle. Most of the Telluride trims have heated front seats, with some of them having ventilated front seats. All models of the SUV have leather-wrapped steering wheels, and it's an option to get a steering wheel with a heating element. The Telluride starts out with SOFINO leatherette seats, with the higher trims getting upgraded with leather seats. Nappa leather is available if you really want to bump up the elegance in your cabin.

The Telluride isn't just a good-looking vehicle; it's a strong and powerful one, with a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. This is possible because of Kia's 3.8-Liter engine. It's quite capable, as it can generate 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed, electronically controlled automatic transmission. It gives you the power you need when you need it. A Sportmatic sport shifter can be used whenever you want to be in control of making transitions from gear to gear. While the four-wheel drive is standard, Irving drivers will be able to upgrade to all-wheel drive on any of the trims. This can be a smart move if you won't be able to predict whether the road conditions will be poor during a winter.

Safety is an area in which the Telluride outperforms many of its competitors. The Kia SUV has several advanced driver-assist systems. These include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning. It doesn't end there. The Telluride also has a rear cross-traffic monitoring system that can help you when you're backing out of a spot and a driver's attention warning system. All these components have been integrated into the SUV on top of several passive safety features. These include multiple airbags and three-point seatbelts in all seating positions.

There are four trims of the new Telluride. The LX is the base model, and it's followed by the S and EX. The SX is our top-of-the-line offering.

The LX attracts a lot of people to the Telluride because it's very competitively priced and comes with many great benefits. First, Haltom City drivers will appreciate that it has nearly all the safety elements that the SX has. The LX has LED daytime running lights, three 12-volt power outlets, and six speakers. With the S, you'll get several upgrades, including second-row captain's chairs, heated front seats, LED interior lighting, and a leather gearshift knob. The EX has even more upscale components, like leather seats, woodgrain interior accents, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power-operated liftgate. Finally, the SX will impress you with its Harman Kardon 10-speaker sound system, reverse tilt-downside mirrors, LED projector-beam headlights, automatic high beams, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink technology, and a blind-spot view monitor.
